Who buys boom barriers in Ghaziabad
Most of the boom barrier enquiries we get from Ghaziabad are from housing societies, but the city also has a large industrial base. The set-up we suggest depends on which kind of site you run:
- Large high-rise societies in Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik, Siddharth Vihar and along the Delhi–Meerut Expressway (NH-9). Many of these were handed over in phases, so towers, parking and gates are still being added. The AOA usually wants a resident lane on UHF windscreen tags and a guard-controlled visitor lane, and often wants to add a second gate later.
- Older societies and apartments in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara and Kaushambi. Gates here are often narrow, the approach road is busy, and there is no space for a long queue. A fast barrier and a quick way to identify residents matter more than anything else.
- Residential colonies and RWAs such as those in Kavi Nagar, Raj Nagar and Shastri Nagar, where a barrier at the colony entrance is managed by the RWA and guards. Here we also discuss who will pay for and own the tags, and how service vehicles and visitors will be let in.
- Factories and warehouses in Sahibabad Site IV, the Meerut Road and Bulandshahr Road industrial areas, Loni and along the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. These need sturdy truck gates, a record of every vehicle, and often a gate-pass desk.
- Hospitals, schools, malls and commercial complexes, where the barrier is part of a staff parking or paid parking management system.
Choosing a boom barrier for a Ghaziabad society or colony gate
These are the points our engineer checks before recommending a model:
- Resident and visitor lanes. Where the gate is wide enough, two lanes with their own barriers stop cabs, delivery bikes and visitors from blocking residents at peak hours. Where it is not, a single fast barrier with a tag reader and a guard push button is the next best option.
- Tag type. UHF long-range tags open the barrier as the car approaches and are the usual choice for residents. FASTag readers can use the tag most cars already carry. ANPR cameras read the number plate without any tag and also give a clear record for disputes. Our RFID vs ANPR guide compares them.
- Two-wheelers. Societies with many bikes and scooters can add a fence (skirt) arm, or keep a separate two-wheeler lane with its own barrier.
- Link with the visitor app. If your society already uses a visitor or gate app, we check whether the barrier can be opened from it. If not, the guard opens the visitor lane from a push button or remote after checking the visitor. A visitor management system can also log entries at the guard desk.
- Waterlogging. Several low-lying roads in Ghaziabad flood during heavy monsoon rain. We look at drainage at the gate, raise the barrier base where needed, and route the loop and cables away from where water collects.
- Power cuts and safety. Every barrier can be opened by hand. Battery backup or a DG connection keeps it running during outages. A loop detector and IR photocells stop the arm from coming down on a car, and we set the closing speed with children and two-wheelers in mind.
Factory and warehouse gates in Sahibabad, Loni and Meerut Road
Industrial gates work a barrier much harder than society gates. For these sites we suggest a barrier rated for continuous duty, an arm long enough for trucks (or two barriers meeting in the middle for wide gates), and ANPR to log supplier trucks that do not carry tags. Workers on foot are better handled with tripod turnstiles linked to attendance beside the vehicle gate. Our Manesar page covers plant-gate planning in more detail.
What supply, installation and AMC includes
- Site survey at your Ghaziabad gate, with measurements, photos and a written recommendation on barrier type, arm length, lanes and control method.
- Supply of a genuine barrier with the manufacturer warranty, plus UHF readers and tags, ANPR cameras, loop detector and photocells as needed.
- Installation: base preparation, anchoring, loop cutting in the road, cabling, and setting the open and close limits and safety sensors.
- Integration with tag readers, ANPR, access control, a visitor system or a parking system, and enrolment of resident or staff tags.
- Handover and training for guards and the facility or AOA team, including manual opening during a power cut.
- AMC with scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown support, as described on our AMC page. We can also take over AMC of barriers installed by others after inspecting them.
How site visits and service work for Ghaziabad
We do not have an office in Ghaziabad. Our only office is at M-14, Old DLF Colony, Sector 14, Gurugram, and our engineers travel to Ghaziabad for surveys, installation and service. Visits are planned by appointment, and we try to group visits in the same part of the city on the same day. To save a trip, send your society or factory location, gate width, a few photos and the number of vehicles on WhatsApp first. For a breakdown under AMC, share the barrier make and the fault so the engineer can bring the likely spare parts.
Questions from Ghaziabad buyers
Do you install boom barriers in Ghaziabad?
Yes. Our engineers travel from our Gurugram office to societies, colonies, factories and commercial sites across Ghaziabad, including Indirapuram, Raj Nagar Extension, Crossings Republik and Sahibabad. Visits are fixed by appointment.
Which boom barrier is best for a Ghaziabad society?
For most societies we suggest a fast barrier with UHF long-range tags for residents and a separate guard-controlled visitor lane. The exact model depends on gate width, traffic and whether you also want ANPR or FASTag.
Can our AOA add tags to a barrier we already have?
Usually yes. We check the existing controller and add a compatible reader and tags, or suggest a new controller if the old one cannot take a reader input.
Will the barrier work during a power cut?
It can always be lifted by hand. With battery backup or a DG connection it keeps running automatically.
