Who buys boom barriers in Noida
Noida is a planned city of numbered sectors, and the type of site changes a lot from one part of the city to another. The barrier set-up has to change with it:
- High-rise group housing societies along the Noida Expressway, in the sectors near Sector 137 and Sector 150, and in the older residential sectors. Many of these have several towers, hundreds of resident cars and a constant stream of delivery two-wheelers. Most AOAs want a resident lane that opens on a UHF windscreen tag and a separate visitor lane that the guard controls.
- IT parks and office campuses around Sector 62, Sector 125–135 and along the Expressway. Here the barrier usually sits at a basement or multi-level parking entry, and it often has to work with employee access cards or a parking system.
- Industrial units in the Phase 1, Phase 2 and Sector 63 industrial areas. These need wide truck gates, a sturdy straight arm and a record of every vehicle that comes in and goes out, often together with a weighbridge or a gate-pass desk.
- Malls, hospitals and commercial complexes in central sectors such as Sector 18, where the barrier is part of a paid parking management system.
Choosing a boom barrier for a Noida gate
Before we recommend a model, we look at the gate itself. These are the points that matter most for Noida sites:
- Separate lanes for residents and visitors. In large societies, mixing resident cars with cabs and delivery bikes at one barrier is the main cause of queues at peak hours. Two lanes, each with its own barrier and control method, usually solve this.
- Two-wheeler traffic. A standard arm leaves a gap underneath that bikes can slip through. If that is a concern at your gate, we suggest a fence (skirt) arm or a separate pedestrian and two-wheeler gate with its own control.
- How vehicles are identified. UHF long-range tags are the most common choice for residents and staff. FASTag readers can use the tag most cars already carry, ANPR cameras read number plates without any tag, and a simple remote is enough for a small gate.
- Link to the visitor system. Many Noida societies already use a visitor or gate app. We check whether the barrier can be opened from it, or whether the guard will open the visitor lane from a push button or remote.
- Basement and ramp conditions. In office and society basements we measure ceiling height and beam positions at the barrier location. A folding arm is used where a straight arm would hit the ceiling.
- Monsoon and dust. Low-lying gates can collect water during heavy rain and some areas are dusty because of ongoing construction. We raise the base where needed, plan the loop and cable routes away from standing water and choose a cabinet with a suitable IP rating.
- Power cuts and safety. Every barrier can be lifted by hand, and battery backup can be added. A loop detector and IR photocells stop the arm from coming down on a vehicle.
What supply, installation and AMC includes
- Site survey at your gate in Noida, with measurements, photos and a written recommendation on arm type, length, lanes and control method.
- Supply of a genuine barrier with the manufacturer warranty, plus readers, tags, loop detector and photocells as needed.
- Installation: base preparation, anchoring, loop cutting in the road, cabling and setting the open and close limits.
- Integration with UHF readers, ANPR, access control, a visitor management system or a parking system, and enrolment of resident or staff tags.
- Handover and training for your guards and facility team, with a test of every function.
- AMC with scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown support, as described on our AMC page. We also take over AMC of barriers installed by others after checking them.
How site visits and service work for Noida
We do not have an office in Noida. Our only office is at M-14, Old DLF Colony, Sector 14, Gurugram, and our engineers travel to Noida for surveys, installation and service. Because of the distance, we fix Noida survey visits by appointment, so please share the gate location, the gate width and a few photos on WhatsApp first. That lets us bring the right measurements and samples on the first visit. For breakdowns under AMC, tell us the barrier make and the fault so the engineer can carry the likely spare parts.
If you are comparing options for a society or campus, our guide on parking management systems also covers ANPR and ticket-based entry.
Questions from Noida buyers
Do you install boom barriers in Noida even though your office is in Gurugram?
Yes. Our engineers travel to Noida for surveys, installation and AMC visits. Survey visits are fixed by appointment, so please share your gate location and photos first.
Which boom barrier is best for a high-rise society in Noida?
Most large societies do well with two lanes: a fast barrier with a UHF long-range reader for residents, and a guard-controlled visitor lane. The exact model depends on gate width, traffic at peak hours and whether you want ANPR or FASTag.
Can the boom barrier work with our society visitor app?
Often yes. We check whether your app or visitor system can send an open signal to the barrier controller. If it cannot, the guard opens the visitor lane with a push button or remote.
Can delivery bikes be stopped from slipping under the barrier?
A fence (skirt) arm under the boom, or a separate controlled gate for two-wheelers and pedestrians, reduces this. We suggest the right option after seeing the gate.
