Who buys boom barriers in Gurugram
Gurugram has a very particular mix of sites, and each one needs a slightly different barrier set-up. These are the enquiries we see most often:
- Group housing societies on Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road, Dwarka Expressway and the newer sectors. Residents want to drive in without stopping, while guards still check visitors and delivery vehicles. The usual answer is a separate resident lane with UHF long-range tags on the windscreen and a visitor lane controlled by the guard.
- Office towers and IT parks in Cyber City, Golf Course Road and along NH-48. Most parking is in basements with low ceilings and tight ramps, so folding-arm barriers and short opening times matter more than boom length.
- Factories and warehouses in Udyog Vihar and towards Manesar. Truck gates are wide, so longer straight arms, loop detectors and a clear log of every vehicle in and out are the priority.
- Hospitals, malls and commercial complexes that run paid or ticketed parking, where the barrier works together with a parking management system.
Choosing the right boom barrier for a Gurugram site
Price is only one part of the decision. Before we quote, our engineer checks these points on site:
- Road width and headroom. The arm must cover the full lane. In basements we measure the ceiling height at the barrier position; if a straight arm will hit a beam or duct, we suggest a folding arm.
- Traffic at peak hours. Society and office gates see heavy bursts at 9 am and 6 pm. A faster barrier with a tag reader avoids queues spilling onto the main road, which is a common problem on busy Gurugram service roads.
- How vehicles are identified. Remote control suits a small gate. RFID cards or UHF tags suit residents and staff. ANPR cameras read number plates without any tag, and FASTag readers can use the tag most cars already carry. See our FASTag boom barrier guide if you are comparing these.
- Monsoon and heat. Gurugram sees waterlogging at many gates during the monsoon and very high summer temperatures. We check the drainage at the gate, raise the barrier base where needed and choose a cabinet with a suitable IP rating.
- Power cuts. Every barrier we supply can be lifted by hand, and battery backup can be added so the gate keeps working during an outage.
- Safety. A loop detector cut into the road and IR photocells stop the arm from coming down on a car or a two-wheeler. For gates with a lot of two-wheeler or pedestrian traffic, a fence arm under the boom helps.
What supply, installation and AMC includes
A boom barrier works well only if the civil work, loop and wiring are done properly. Our scope normally covers:
- Site survey at your gate in Gurugram, with measurements, photos and a recommendation on arm type, length and control method.
- Supply of a genuine barrier with the manufacturer warranty, plus readers, tags, loop detector and photocells as required.
- Installation: base or plinth preparation, anchoring, loop cutting in the road, cabling, and setting the open/close limits.
- Integration with UHF readers, ANPR cameras, access control, a visitor system or a parking system, and enrolment of resident or staff tags.
- Handover with a test of every function and a short training session for your guards and facility team.
- AMC: quarterly preventive maintenance, breakdown support and replacement of faulty parts, as described on our AMC page. We also take AMC for barriers installed by others after checking their condition.
Site visits and service from our Gurugram office
Our office is at M-14, Old DLF Colony, Sector 14, Gurugram. Gurugram is our home city, so sites here get the quickest surveys and the quickest service calls. Call or WhatsApp us with your gate location and a few photos; for most societies and offices we can then fix a survey visit and send a written quotation after it. If you already have a barrier that has stopped working, tell us the make and model so the engineer can carry the likely spare parts.
Questions from Gurugram buyers
Which boom barrier is best for a society gate in Gurugram?
For most societies we suggest a fast straight-arm barrier with a UHF long-range reader for residents, plus a guard-controlled visitor lane. The final model depends on gate width, traffic and whether you also want ANPR or FASTag.
Will the boom barrier work during a power cut?
Every barrier can be opened by hand during an outage. If you want it to keep running automatically, we add a battery backup or connect it to your DG supply.
Can you add RFID or UHF tags to our existing boom barrier?
Usually yes. We check the existing controller and add a compatible reader and tags, or suggest a replacement controller if the old one cannot take a reader input.
Do you provide AMC for boom barriers in Gurugram?
Yes. We offer AMC with quarterly preventive maintenance and breakdown support across Gurugram, including for barriers installed by other companies.
