Who buys flap barriers in Faridabad
Faridabad is mainly an industrial city, so most flap barrier enquiries come from plants and workshops, but hospitals, schools and new residential areas are growing quickly too. These are the sites we see most often:
- Factories in the industrial sectors and IMT Faridabad, including Sectors 24, 25, 27, 58 and 59, NIT and the Ballabgarh side. Auto component, engineering and electrical units need a clean record of who entered for each shift, and want to stop buddy punching and card sharing at the workers' gate.
- Electronics and assembly units, where staff must pass an ESD test before entering the production floor. Here the flap barrier can be linked to the ESD tester so it opens only after a pass result.
- Hospitals and diagnostic centres along Mathura Road and in the newer sectors, which need staff-only entry to ICUs, labs and stores, with a wide lane for wheelchairs and trolleys.
- Schools, colleges and coaching centres, where students arrive in a rush and parents want entry and exit records.
- Offices and commercial buildings on Mathura Road and in the city centre sectors, often shared by several tenants.
- Society clubhouses and gyms in Greater Faridabad (Neharpar), where residents enter with a card or face and guests get a temporary QR pass.
Factory gates: what is different
A factory workers' gate is not an office lobby, and a few points decide whether a flap barrier works well there:
- Shift change crowds. Hundreds of workers may arrive and leave within a few minutes. We plan the number of lanes on your peak shift change, not on total headcount, and often suggest bi-directional lanes that switch between entry and exit.
- Covered location. Flap barriers are meant for covered areas. If the gate is in the open, we recommend a shed or canopy over the lanes, a raised and levelled base so rainwater does not stand, and a cabinet finish that suits your site. Where the gate cannot be covered, a tripod turnstile or full height turnstile may be the more practical choice.
- Dust and rough use. Industrial dust, oily hands and heavy bags are normal. We advise on cleaning, sensor care and how often preventive maintenance is needed in your conditions.
- Contract labour. Contract and temporary workers can be given access that expires automatically at the end of their contract, so old cards stop working without anyone remembering to block them.
- Attendance and payroll. If you already use a biometric attendance machine, we check whether the barrier readers can feed the same software, so workers punch only once at the gate.
Choosing a flap barrier for your site
- Credential. Face recognition is touch-free and stops proxy entry, which suits factories and hospitals. RFID cards are cheaper and suit sites that already use them. QR codes suit visitors and society guests.
- Lane width. A standard lane suits staff; a wide lane is needed for wheelchairs, trolleys and material movement. Many sites use one wide lane next to normal lanes.
- Fire safety and power. The flaps must open on a fire alarm signal or power failure. We wire the barrier to the fire panel and test it with your safety team, and plan a UPS where power cuts are common.
- Visitors and vendors. With a visitor management system, visitors and truck drivers get a one-day QR pass at the security cabin, so the barrier opens only for approved people.

What supply, installation and AMC includes
- Site survey: measurement of the gate or lobby, floor and cover, power and network points, and a written recommendation.
- Supply: branded flap barrier cabinets with the maker's warranty, readers (face, card, QR or fingerprint), controller and software. We are a supplier and installer, not a manufacturer.
- Installation: floor cutting and conduits, cabinet fixing, cabling, sensor calibration and anti-tailgating settings. In running plants we plan the work around shifts or on the weekly off.
- Integration: with access control, attendance, visitor management, ESD testers and the fire alarm panel, plus enrolment of staff faces or cards.
- Handover and training for security guards, HR and maintenance staff.
- AMC: preventive visits and breakdown support, as on our AMC page. We can also take over AMC of barriers installed by others after an inspection.
How site visits and service work in Faridabad
We do not have an office in Faridabad; our only office is at M-14, Old DLF Colony, Sector 14, Gurugram, and our team travels to Faridabad by the Gurugram–Faridabad road for surveys, installation and AMC visits by appointment. To save time, WhatsApp us your site location, a few photos of the gate, the peak number of people per shift change and the credential you use today; we can often give a first recommendation before the visit. For a breakdown, send the barrier make and a short video of the fault so the engineer brings the right spares. For vehicle gates at the same site, see our boom barrier in Faridabad page.
Questions from Faridabad buyers
Do you install flap barriers in Faridabad factories?
Yes. Our team travels from our Gurugram office to the Faridabad industrial sectors, IMT Faridabad and Ballabgarh for surveys, installation and AMC of flap barriers at workers’ gates, offices and production areas.
Can a flap barrier be installed at an open factory gate?
Flap barriers are designed for covered areas. At an open gate we recommend a shed or canopy and a raised, level base. If the gate cannot be covered, a tripod or full height turnstile is usually more practical.
Can the flap barrier work with our attendance and ESD tester?
In most cases, yes. We check your attendance software and ESD tester during the survey and link them so workers punch once at the gate and the barrier opens only after a pass.
Will the flap barrier open during a fire alarm or power cut?
It should, and we set it up that way. The barrier is wired to the fire alarm panel so the flaps open on alarm, and it is configured to open on power failure.
