Flap barrier in Gurugram: supply, installation and AMC

Flap barrier gates for office lobbies, tenant floors, coworking centres, campuses and factory staff entrances in Gurugram. Our office is in Sector 14, so the site survey, installation and service visits are handled by our own team from within the city.

Who buys flap barriers in Gurugram

Most flap barrier enquiries in Gurugram come from commercial buildings, and the right set-up depends a lot on who manages the lobby. These are the cases we see most often:

  • Multi-tenant office towers in Cyber City, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and along NH-48. The building management often controls the ground-floor lobby, while each tenant wants its own staff to pass using the card or face they already use upstairs. We plan lanes, readers and software so the building and tenants can work from compatible credentials.
  • Single-company offices and BPO floors in Udyog Vihar and the IT parks, which run shifts round the clock. Shift change brings a big crowd in a few minutes, so the number of lanes and the speed of the reader matter more than anything else.
  • Coworking spaces and business centres, where members, day-pass users and visitors all come through the same entrance. QR codes or mobile credentials sent by the visitor system work well here.
  • Schools, colleges, hospitals and clubs that want controlled entry without the closed look of a turnstile. A wider lane is usually added for wheelchairs, strollers and trolleys.
  • Factories and warehouses in Udyog Vihar and towards Manesar, where flap barriers are used at the staff or office entrance, often linked to face attendance. For dusty shop-floor gates a tripod turnstile is often the tougher choice.

Choosing a flap barrier for a Gurugram lobby

Before we recommend a model, our engineer visits the lobby and checks these points:

  • Peak flow and number of lanes. We ask how many people arrive in the busiest 15 minutes, and plan enough lanes so the queue does not reach the lift lobby or the main door. Bi-directional lanes can be switched between entry and exit at different times of day.
  • Credential. Face recognition is touch-free and quick, RFID cards are simple and cheap to add, and QR codes suit visitors. Many Gurugram offices already have an access control system on their floors, so we first check whether the flap barrier readers can use the same cards or faces.
  • Lobby finish and space. Premium lobbies need cabinets that match the stone and glass, usually SS304 with glass flaps. We measure the space between pillars, the swing of the main doors and the path to the lifts and reception desk.
  • Floor and cabling. Cables must run under the floor between cabinets. In a running building this means careful core cutting of finished stone, so we plan the work with the facility team, often at night or on a weekend, to avoid disturbing tenants.
  • Fire safety. The flaps must open on their own when the fire alarm triggers or power fails, so people can leave the building freely. We connect the barrier to the fire alarm panel and test it with your fire safety team, which is also important for your fire NOC paperwork.
  • Accessible and service lanes. A wide lane is needed for wheelchair users, couriers with trolleys and housekeeping staff. It can be operated by the guard or by the same credential.

Unsure whether a flap barrier, swing barrier or tripod turnstile is right for your entrance? Our comparison guide explains the difference, and the flap barrier buying guide lists the specifications to check.

Visitors and tenants

In many Gurugram towers the slowest part of the entrance is the visitor desk, not the barrier. With a visitor management system, a visitor can be pre-registered by the host and receive a QR code that opens the flap barrier for that day only. Card or face records from the barrier can also feed attendance reports for each tenant. We discuss the software side during the survey so that hardware and software are ordered together.

What supply, installation and AMC includes

  • Site survey: measurements, lobby layout, power and network points, and a written recommendation of lanes and readers.
  • Supply: genuine flap barrier cabinets with manufacturer warranty, readers (face, card, QR or fingerprint) and the controller and software you need.
  • Installation: floor cutting and conduits, cabinet fixing and alignment, cabling, sensor calibration and anti-tailgating settings.
  • Integration: with access control, attendance, visitor management and the fire alarm panel, and enrolment of staff cards or faces.
  • Handover and training for security guards and the facility team, including what to do in a power cut or a fire alarm.
  • AMC: preventive visits to clean and check sensors, motors and flaps, plus breakdown support, as described on our AMC page. We can also take over AMC of flap barriers installed by others after an inspection.

How site visits and service work in Gurugram

Our office is at M-14, Old DLF Colony, Sector 14, Gurugram, so for most sites in the city a survey can be planned quickly by appointment. Sites in the Cyber City, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and Udyog Vihar areas are all within easy reach. To save time, send the building location, a few photos of the lobby, the number of staff and the credential you use today on WhatsApp first. For a breakdown under AMC, share the barrier make and a short video of the fault so the engineer can carry the likely spare parts. We also cover flap barrier projects in Delhi, Noida and the rest of Delhi NCR.

Questions from Gurugram buyers

Do you install flap barriers in Gurugram office buildings?

Yes. Our team is based in Sector 14, Gurugram, and installs flap barriers in office towers, tenant floors, coworking spaces, campuses and factory staff entrances across the city. Surveys are fixed by appointment.

Can the flap barrier use our existing access cards or face terminals?

Often yes. During the survey we check the card type and software you use today. If the readers are compatible, staff can keep their current cards or face enrolment; if not, we suggest the simplest way to add them.

Will the flap barrier open during a fire alarm or power cut?

It should. We connect the barrier to the fire alarm panel so the flaps open automatically on alarm, and set it to open on power failure, so people can leave freely.

How many flap barrier lanes does our lobby need?

It depends on how many people arrive in the busiest 15 minutes and how quickly your reader works. We work this out during the survey and also add a wide lane for wheelchairs and trolleys.
