Tripod turnstile in Noida: supply, installation and AMC

SS304 tripod turnstiles for workers’ gates in the Noida Phase 1, 2 and 3 industrial areas, electronics and export units, large construction sites along the Expressway, gyms and society clubhouses, schools and office canteens. We survey the entrance, supply and install the turnstile and readers, and support it under AMC.

Who buys tripod turnstiles in Noida

Noida has a large manufacturing base alongside its offices and high-rise housing, and most tripod turnstile enquiries come from sites where many people pass one at a time and every pass should be recorded:

  • Factories and export units in the Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 industrial areas and the industrial sectors around them, including units in the Noida Special Economic Zone. The turnstile sits at the workers’ entrance and each pass doubles as an attendance punch.
  • Electronics and mobile-phone assembly units, where large shifts of operators enter at once. Many of these sites also want an ESD (anti-static) check before the shop floor, which can be linked to the turnstile so it opens only after the test passes.
  • Construction sites along the Noida Expressway, the Sector 150 area and the new sectors, where builders and contractors want a daily record of which labourers and sub-contractor staff are on site.
  • Gyms, sports clubs and society clubhouses in the high-rise societies, where entry should stop automatically when a membership is not renewed.
  • Schools, coaching centres and colleges that want a record of student and staff entry and a separate path for parents and visitors.
  • Office canteens in the Sector 62 and Expressway IT buildings, where the turnstile lets only staff with a valid card through or counts meals.

Tripod, flap barrier or full height turnstile?

A tripod turnstile is the most economical choice per lane and is tough enough for factory, canteen and gym entrances. For a reception or lobby in an IT building, a flap barrier looks better and lets people pass faster. For an open boundary gate where someone could climb over a waist-high unit, a full height turnstile is safer. Many Noida plants use a mix: flap barriers at the admin block, tripods at the covered workers’ entrance and a full height turnstile at the perimeter. Our comparison guide explains the trade-offs.

What we check on a Noida site

  • Shift-change peak. Electronics and garment units can have hundreds of people arriving in a short window. We count the busiest 15 minutes and size the lanes for that, not for the daily average. Bi-directional units can be switched to mostly-in or mostly-out at shift change.
  • Covered or open entrance. Many industrial gates are semi-open. We recommend a canopy over the lanes, outdoor-rated readers and a camera position that does not face the morning or evening sun.
  • Credential. Face recognition avoids buddy punching and lost cards and works when fingers are worn or dusty. RFID cards are cheapest for short-term labour. QR passes suit visitors through a visitor management system.
  • Semi or fully automatic. A semi-automatic tripod unlocks and the user pushes the arm; a fully automatic one turns the arm by motor. We explain the comfort and cost difference before you decide.
  • Emergency exit and fire alarm. The arm should drop on power failure or on a signal from the fire alarm panel, and the site still needs a separate wide gate for goods, wheelchairs and evacuation.
  • Contract workers. Passes can carry an end date so a labourer’s or trainee’s access stops automatically when the contract ends.

Attendance, ESD and reports

When the reader on the turnstile is also the attendance device, there is no second punch. Entry and exit logs can go to attendance software for shift, overtime and contractor-wise reports. Where an ESD tester is linked, the log also shows that each operator passed the test before entering. During a drill, a live list of who is still inside helps the safety team at the assembly point.

What supply, installation and AMC include

  • Site survey: lane count, floor or concrete base, canopy, power and network points, and the credential you want.
  • Supply of SS304 tripod turnstiles with face, card, fingerprint or QR readers and controller software.
  • Installation: anchoring on a level base, cabling in conduit, configuration, help with user enrolment and training for guards and the HR or admin team.
  • AMC: scheduled preventive visits, checks of the arm mechanism, solenoids, readers and drop-arm function, software updates and breakdown support.

Site visits and service from Gurugram

We do not have an office in Noida. Surveys, installation and service visits are planned from our office at M-14, Sector 14, Gurugram, usually by fixing a date in advance and covering nearby Noida sites on the same trip. Many issues can be checked first over phone or WhatsApp with a photo or short video, so the engineer arrives with the likely spare part.

Questions from Noida buyers

Do you install tripod turnstiles at factories in the Noida Phase 2 and Phase 3 industrial areas?

Yes. We supply and install tripod turnstiles at factory and export-unit workers’ entrances across Noida, with face, card or fingerprint readers and attendance reports, and support them under AMC. Visits are planned from our Gurugram office.

Can the turnstile open only after an ESD test?

Yes, on most controllers. The ESD tester gives a pass signal to the turnstile controller, so the arm unlocks only after the operator passes the test, and the result is logged with the entry.

Is a tripod turnstile suitable for a construction site?

Yes, if it is placed on a level concrete base with a canopy and outdoor-rated readers. Passes with an end date suit labour that changes often. If people could climb around or over it at an open boundary, a full height turnstile is the safer choice.

What happens in a fire or power failure?

A drop-arm tripod turnstile lets the arm fall when power fails or when the fire alarm panel sends a signal, so people can leave freely. A separate wide emergency gate is still needed.
