Where Delhi sites use a full height turnstile
A full height turnstile is a head-height rotor in a steel frame. It turns for one person per valid face, card or fingerprint and cannot be jumped over or crawled under. In Delhi it is chosen where a gate is on the road, is open at night, or where the owner needs a firm one-person-one-entry record:
- Factory and warehouse gates in the Okhla, Naraina, Mayapuri, Wazirpur, Bawana and Narela industrial areas. Many of these units sit on older, narrow plots where the staff gate opens straight onto a busy lane. A full height unit controls the pedestrian side, and a boom barrier handles vehicles.
- Government and PSU premises, where the outer gate or a restricted block must stay closed to everyone without a valid pass and every entry must be logged.
- Server, record and strong rooms inside offices and institutions, where only listed staff should get in.
- Construction and redevelopment sites, where the contractor needs labour counted in and out, the site closed at night, and the turnstile moved to the next project later.
Full height, tripod or flap barrier?
For a covered lobby with a guard, a flap barrier looks better and is faster. For a covered workers’ entrance on a budget, a tripod turnstile costs the least per lane. Choose full height for an open boundary gate, an unmanned gate at night, or any place where someone could climb over a waist-high unit. Our full height turnstile guide and comparison guide explain the trade-offs.
Points we plan for on a Delhi site
- Narrow and old gates. Older plots often have a small pedestrian door in a steel gate or a wall opening that is not square. We measure the clear width and height, check whether the wall or gate frame can take the turnstile, and plan any civil work before the order, so there are no surprises on installation day.
- Gate opening onto the road. Where workers would queue on a public lane, we position the turnstile so the queue forms inside the boundary and plan a dual lane, or separate entry and exit lanes, for the shift-change peak.
- Summer heat and the afternoon sun. Delhi summers are hard on outdoor electronics. We suggest SS304 or a good outdoor finish, a canopy over the readers and controller, and a reader position where the face camera does not look into the low sun.
- Tender and specification help. Government, PSU and institutional buyers often need a technical specification for a tender or GeM bid. We can help write a clear, vendor-neutral spec (lane type, rotor material, reader, fail-safe mode, logs). We are a supplier and installer, not a manufacturer, and we say so in every quotation.
- Credentials with end dates. Face recognition avoids lost or shared cards. RFID cards suit short-term labour, and every pass can expire when a contract ends. Visitors can get a QR pass from a visitor management system.
- Emergency release and power. The controller is linked to the fire alarm panel so the rotor turns freely in an emergency, and a small UPS keeps it working through short power cuts. A separate wide gate is still needed for evacuation and goods.
Attendance and entry records
The turnstile reader can double as the attendance device, so there is no separate punch. Entry and exit logs give shift, overtime and contractor-wise reports, and a list of who is still inside during a drill. For government and institutional sites, the logs can be exported for audits.
What supply, installation and AMC include
- Site survey: clear width, wall or gate frame, lanes, base and canopy, power and network points, peak headcount and the credential you want.
- Supply of single or dual lane full height turnstiles with face, card, fingerprint or QR readers, controller and software.
- Installation: anchoring, cabling in conduit, fire alarm and UPS link, configuration, enrolment help and training for guards and the admin team.
- AMC: preventive visits, checks of the rotor, drive, solenoids, readers and emergency release, software updates and breakdown support. See our AMC services.

Site visits in Delhi
We do not have an office in Delhi. Surveys, installation and AMC visits are planned from our office at M-14, Sector 14, Gurugram, with dates fixed in advance so the engineer reaches your gate outside shift-change hours. Many faults can be checked first over phone or WhatsApp with a photo or short video.

Questions from Delhi buyers
Do you install full height turnstiles in Delhi industrial areas?
Yes. We supply and install single and dual lane full height turnstiles at factory and warehouse gates in Okhla, Naraina, Mayapuri, Wazirpur, Bawana, Narela and other parts of Delhi, and support them under AMC. Visits are planned from our Gurugram office.
Our staff gate is narrow and old. Can a full height turnstile still fit?
Often yes. We measure the clear width and height and check the wall or gate frame at the survey. If civil work is needed, we tell you before you order, so it can be done first.
Can you help with a specification for a government or GeM tender?
Yes. We can help prepare a clear technical specification for lane type, rotor material, reader, fail-safe mode and logs. We are a supplier and installer, not a manufacturer.
Will the turnstile work in Delhi summer heat?
Yes, with the right finish and placement. We suggest SS304 or a good outdoor finish, a canopy over the readers and controller, and a reader position away from direct afternoon sun.
What is the price of a full height turnstile in Delhi?
It depends on single or dual lane, the finish, the reader, software and site work such as the base, canopy and cabling. The Delhi price page shows starting prices; we send a written, itemised quotation after the survey.
