Where a full height turnstile fits in Manesar
A full height turnstile is a head-height rotor in a steel frame. One person passes per valid face, card or fingerprint, and nobody can climb over or slip under it. In Manesar it is used where the gate is on the boundary wall and has to control a large workforce with few guards:
- The outer workers’ gate of IMT Manesar plants (Sectors 1 to 8), usually the auto and component makers and their suppliers. The full height unit stands at the perimeter, a boom barrier handles buses and trucks, and tripod turnstiles or flap barriers sit at the covered canteen or admin entry inside.
- Warehouses and logistics parks along NH-48 and the KMP Expressway, where pickers, loaders and drivers’ helpers change often and the owner wants each person counted.
- Construction sites around Manesar and the new sectors, where the contractor needs a labour headcount and a gate that locks at night.
Points we plan for on a Manesar site
- Shift-bus peaks. Company buses arrive together and unload hundreds of workers in a few minutes. We count the real peak and plan dual lane units, often more than one, with separate entry and exit lanes so the outgoing shift does not block the incoming one.
- Contract and trainee workers. Large plants run a mix of permanent staff, contract labour, apprentices and trainees. Every card or face entry can carry an end date, so access stops automatically when a contract or training period ends, and new joiners are enrolled at the gate cabin.
- Gate far from the plant. On big IMT plots the outer gate can be hundreds of metres from the server room. We plan the network link (cable in conduit or a wireless bridge) and a UPS so the turnstile keeps working and syncing.
- Open ground, dust and summer heat. We suggest SS304 or a good outdoor finish, a canopy over the readers and controller, a raised base so rainwater does not stand, and a face camera position away from the low morning or evening sun.
- Credential. Face recognition avoids lost or shared cards and works for workers with worn fingerprints. RFID cards are cheapest for short-term labour. Visitors, vendors and drivers can get QR passes and a safety induction record through a visitor management system.
- Emergency release. The controller is linked to the fire alarm panel so the rotor turns freely in an emergency; we test it at handover. A separate wide gate is still needed for evacuation and goods.
Attendance, canteen and contractor reports
The turnstile reader can also be the attendance device, so workers do not queue twice. Entry and exit logs give shift, overtime and contractor-wise reports for checking labour bills, and can be linked to canteen counts. During a drill, the list of who is still inside helps the safety team at the assembly point.
What supply, installation and AMC include
- Site survey: gate width, peak headcount from the bus schedule, lanes, base and canopy, power and network points, and the credential you want.
- Supply of single or dual lane full height turnstiles with face, card, fingerprint or QR readers, controller and software.
- Installation: anchoring on a level concrete base, cabling in conduit, fire alarm and UPS link, configuration, enrolment help and training for security and HR.
- AMC: preventive visits with reader cleaning, checks of the rotor, drive, solenoids and emergency release, software updates and breakdown support. Manesar is a short drive from our Sector 14 office. See our AMC services.

Questions from Manesar buyers
Do you install full height turnstiles in IMT Manesar?
Yes. We supply and install single and dual lane full height turnstiles at plant boundary gates in IMT Manesar and at warehouses along NH-48 and the KMP Expressway, and support them under AMC. Manesar is a short drive from our Gurugram office.
How many turnstiles do we need for a shift change of several hundred workers?
It depends on how quickly the buses unload and the time you allow for entry. We count the peak at the survey and plan dual lane units, often more than one, with separate entry and exit lanes.
Can the turnstile stop contract workers after their contract ends?
Yes. Each card or face entry can have an end date. After that date the turnstile no longer opens for that person.
Our gate is far from the main building. Will the turnstile still sync attendance?
Yes, with a planned network link (cable in conduit or a wireless bridge) and a UPS at the gate. We check the distance and route at the survey.
What is the price of a full height turnstile in Manesar?
It depends on single or dual lane, the number of units, the finish, the reader, software and site work. The Manesar price page shows starting prices; we send a written, itemised quotation after the survey.
