"What is the tripod turnstile price?" is usually the first question when a factory, office, gym or institute in Gurgaon plans a staff entrance. The honest answer is that two tripod turnstiles can differ a lot in price because of the drive, the body, the safety features and the reader you put on top. This guide explains what decides the tripod turnstile gate price, so you can compare quotations properly.
Note: distributor prices change and the final cost depends on your entrance, so we do not publish a fixed price list. Share your entry layout and daily headcount and we will send an itemised quotation after a site visit.
What decides the tripod turnstile price
- Drive type. Semi-automatic (mechanical) turnstiles unlock after a valid read and the person pushes the arm. Fully automatic (motorised) models turn the arm by themselves. Fully automatic costs more but feels smoother for visitors and reduces wear.
- Drop-arm (anti-panic) function. The top arm falls when power fails or a fire alarm signal arrives, so people can leave quickly. It adds cost but is strongly recommended wherever the turnstile is on an exit path.
- Body and finish. Stainless steel grade (SS304 is common for indoor and sheltered use) and the cabinet design change the price. Outdoor or open-shed locations need better protection against rain and dust.
- Single or double unit. One turnstile with one lane, or a bridge/double unit covering two lanes. Two lanes cost more but handle shift-change rush much better.
- Reader and software. RFID card, fingerprint, face recognition or QR visitor pass. A face terminal costs more than a card reader but stops buddy punching. Attendance or access software and integration also add to the quotation.
- Installation work. Floor anchoring, cable conduits from the turnstile to the controller and power point, a railing to close the side gap, and a manual swing gate for wheelchairs and material.

How to compare two tripod turnstile quotations
- Check the exact model, drive type (semi or fully automatic) and whether drop-arm is included.
- Check the reader listed on each lane and whether software licences are included.
- Check installation scope: cabling, conduits, railing, side gate and civil work.
- Check warranty and AMC terms. A turnstile is a moving machine and needs periodic service.
