What a comprehensive AMC usually includes
- Preventive maintenance visits, typically every quarter
- Repair or replacement of faulty parts
- A standby unit while a part is being repaired
- Breakdown support with an agreed response time
- A service report after every visit
What is usually not included
- New cabling and conduits
- Damage from water, fire, lightning or misuse
- Software upgrades and new licences
- Systems that were already faulty when the AMC started, which are repaired first on a chargeable basis
Comprehensive vs non-comprehensive AMC
A comprehensive AMC includes parts. A non-comprehensive (labour only) AMC covers visits and service, and parts are charged separately. Comprehensive AMCs cost more but make your yearly budget predictable.
