Where X-ray baggage scanners are needed in Faridabad

An X-ray baggage scanner shows a trained operator what is inside a bag or parcel on a monitor while a conveyor carries it through a shielded tunnel. The basics, single vs dual energy and the standard tunnel sizes are on our main X-ray baggage scanner page. Faridabad is first of all an industrial city, so most screening points here are at plants rather than office lobbies:

  • Factories and auto-component plants in Sector 24, 25 and 27, the DLF industrial area (Sector 31–32), NIT, Ballabhgarh, Sector 58–59 and IMT Faridabad: auto parts, tractors and farm equipment, electricals, pharma and packaging. Scanners here check staff and contractor bags at the gate and the parcels coming into stores and mail rooms.
  • Hospitals across the city, with a scanner at the main public entry and sometimes a second one at the emergency block.
  • Malls, hotels and banquet halls along Mathura Road, Sector 12 and Neharpar (Greater Faridabad), where the scanner sits at the entry beside the door frame metal detectors.
  • District courts, government offices and PSUs, mostly around Sector 12 and NIT. Government buyers usually order through GeM or a tender.
  • Schools, colleges and exam centres that screen candidates’ bags on exam days, and offices with a visitor entry next to flap barriers.

Gate screening at Faridabad plants: people in, parcels in

At a factory the scanner usually does two jobs. At the main gate it checks the bags of workers, contractors, drivers and visitors, often in one shared queue at shift change. At the stores or mail room it checks couriers and small consignments before they are opened. Points that matter in a plant:

  • One scanner or two. If the people gate and the goods inward are far apart, two small scanners are often better than one large machine that everything must be carried to.
  • Contractor and driver traffic. Truck drivers and contract staff come in through the same gate as employees in many plants. Plan the queue so that visitors can be screened without holding up the shift, and keep the boom barrier lane for vehicles separate from the walk-in lane.
  • Tool bags and helmets. Maintenance staff and contractors carry heavy tool bags. A slightly larger tunnel, a strong conveyor and long roller tables help, and the operator should be trained to recognise ordinary tools so that every bag does not go for a hand search.
  • Bag plus body check. The bag goes through the scanner while the person walks through a door frame metal detector, with a handheld detector for alarms. Where the gate has a tripod turnstile, the bag check comes before the turnstile.

Choosing the tunnel by what you scan

  • Lunch bags, handbags and laptop bags: a small tunnel of about 500 × 300 mm is enough for staff gates and office entries.
  • Tool bags, shopping bags, courier packets and medium parcels: about 600 × 400 mm suits plant gates with contractors, malls, hospitals and mail rooms.
  • Suitcases and large cartons: about 650 × 500 mm or larger, for hotels, banquet entries and goods inward.

Measure the largest item you must scan and take the next size up, no more. A larger tunnel costs more, needs more floor space and is harder to move into place.

Points we check at a Faridabad site

  • Outdoor gates and security cabins. Many plant gates are open-air. The scanner needs a cabin or a proper shed, a raised and level concrete base, and protection from dust and summer heat, since it is not built to stand in the open.
  • Power at the gate. Gate cabins often have a weak or shared supply. We ask for a dedicated point with earthing, a stabiliser or UPS, and check that the DG supply reaches the gate.
  • Moving the machine in. Compact models usually stand on castors and can be rolled across a level floor; larger ones need a clear route, a ramp instead of steps and a fixed position. We check the doors and route during the survey.
  • AERB registration and operators. The scanner must be an AERB-approved type and the user organisation registers the installed unit before regular use. We supply approved models, help with the documents and train the guards on each shift, since plant security teams often rotate.

Questions from Faridabad buyers

Do you supply X-ray baggage scanners in Faridabad?

Yes. We supply, install and maintain X-ray baggage scanners for factories, hospitals, malls, hotels, courts, government offices and exam centres across Faridabad, including Sector 24, 25 and 27, NIT, Ballabhgarh, Mathura Road, Sector 58-59 and IMT Faridabad.

Can an X-ray scanner be installed at an open factory gate?

Yes, but it must stand inside a cabin or a proper shed on a raised, level base, with a dedicated power point and UPS. The machine is not built to stand in the open sun, rain or dust.

Which tunnel size suits a plant gate with contractors?

If contractors bring tool bags, about 600 x 400 mm with long roller tables works well. For staff lunch bags only, a small 500 x 300 mm tunnel is enough. We confirm the size after seeing the largest bags at your gate.

Do we need AERB registration for a baggage scanner?

Yes. The scanner must be an AERB-approved type, and the user organisation registers the installed unit with AERB before regular use. We supply approved models and help with the documents.

What is the price of an X-ray baggage scanner in Faridabad?

It depends on the tunnel size, energy and view type, make, accessories and AMC terms, so we do not publish one fixed price. We send an itemised written quotation after a free site survey, and our price guide explains what decides the cost.
