Where a full height turnstile fits in Greater Noida
A full height turnstile is a head-height rotor in a steel frame. It lets one person through per valid face, card or fingerprint, and nobody can climb over or crawl under it. It is meant for gates on the boundary, often in the open, where a waist-high unit is not enough. In Greater Noida we see it used at:
- Factory workers’ gates in the Ecotech areas, Kasna, Surajpur Site B and C and Udyog Vihar, including electronics and assembly units with large shifts. The full height unit stands at the outer gate, a boom barrier handles trucks and buses, and tripod turnstiles or flap barriers sit at the covered admin or canteen entry inside.
- Warehouses, logistics parks and new plants along the Yamuna Expressway, where loaders, pickers and contract staff change often and every person in and out has to be counted.
- Campus and hostel gates in Knowledge Park, where colleges want students and staff to enter only through controlled gates, with a record of late-night entries at hostels.
- Construction sites of high-rise and commercial projects in Greater Noida West and the newer sectors, where the contractor needs a daily labour headcount and a gate that locks at night.
Points we plan for on a Greater Noida site
- Shift and class peaks. Company buses and college batches arrive together. We count the real peak at the survey, not the total headcount, and plan dual lane units or separate entry and exit lanes so the outgoing shift does not block the incoming one.
- Big plots, long cable runs. On large Ecotech and Yamuna Expressway plots the outer gate can be far from the server room. We plan the network link (cable in conduit or a wireless bridge) and a UPS at the gate so the turnstile keeps working and syncing.
- Open ground, dust and heat. Many sites are still surrounded by open land and construction. We suggest SS304 or a good outdoor finish, a canopy over the readers and controller, a raised base so rainwater does not stand, and a face camera position away from the low sun.
- Contract labour and students. Every card or face entry can carry an end date, so access stops on its own when a contract, internship or semester ends. New joiners are enrolled at the gate cabin by security or HR.
- Credential. Face recognition suits workers with worn fingerprints and stops card sharing. RFID cards are cheapest for short-term labour; colleges often reuse their existing ID cards. Visitors, vendors and drivers can get QR passes through a visitor management system.
- Emergency release. The controller is linked to the fire alarm panel so the rotor turns freely in an emergency, and we test it at handover. A separate wide gate is still needed for evacuation and goods.
Attendance and headcount reports
The reader on the turnstile can also be the attendance device, so workers do not queue twice. Entry and exit logs give shift, overtime and contractor-wise reports for checking labour bills; on a construction site they show the real daily headcount, and at a hostel they show who came in after hours. During a drill, the list of who is still inside helps the safety team at the assembly point.
What supply, installation and AMC include
- Site survey: gate width, peak headcount, number of lanes, base and canopy, power and network points, and the credential you want.
- Supply of single or dual lane full height turnstiles in mild steel or SS304, with face, card, fingerprint or QR readers, controller and software, with the manufacturer warranty.
- Installation: anchoring on a level concrete base, cabling in conduit, UPS and fire alarm link, configuration, enrolment help and training for security, HR or the campus team.
- AMC: preventive visits with reader cleaning, checks of the rotor, drive, solenoids and emergency release, software updates and breakdown support. Visits are planned from our Gurugram office. See our AMC services.

Questions from Greater Noida buyers
Do you install full height turnstiles in Ecotech, Kasna and along the Yamuna Expressway?
Yes. We supply and install single and dual lane full height turnstiles at factory, warehouse, campus and construction gates across Greater Noida, including the Ecotech areas, Kasna, Surajpur, Udyog Vihar and sites along the Yamuna Expressway, and support them under AMC.
Can a college use its existing student ID cards with the turnstile?
Often yes, if the cards are RFID cards of a type the reader supports. We check a sample card at the survey; if they are not compatible, we suggest new cards or face recognition.
Our gate is far from the main building. Will attendance still sync?
Yes, with a planned network link (cable in conduit or a wireless bridge) and a UPS at the gate. We check the distance and route at the survey.
How do we stop contract workers entering after their contract ends?
Each card or face entry can be given an end date. After that date the turnstile no longer opens for that person, without anyone having to remember to delete them.
What is the price of a full height turnstile in Greater Noida?
It depends on single or dual lane, the number of units, mild steel or SS304, the reader, software and site work such as the base, canopy and cabling. The Greater Noida price page shows starting prices; we send a written, itemised quotation after the survey.
