Where X-ray baggage scanners are used in Gurugram
An X-ray baggage scanner shows the operator what is inside a bag or parcel without opening it. A conveyor carries the bag through a shielded tunnel and the image appears on a monitor; dual energy models colour organic, inorganic and metal items differently. How the machine works, single vs dual energy and the tunnel sizes are explained on our main X-ray baggage scanner page. In Gurugram the requests we see fall into a few groups:
- Corporate towers and IT parks in Cyber City, Golf Course Road, Golf Course Extension Road, Sohna Road and Udyog Vihar. Visitor entries in these lobbies usually have a scanner for laptop bags and handbags next to the flap barriers, with a door frame metal detector for people.
- Malls and hotels along MG Road, NH-48 and the new sectors. Malls screen shoppers’ bags at each public entry; hotels screen guest luggage at the porch, so they need a bigger tunnel for suitcases.
- Hospitals, government offices and courts, where the public entry is screened every day. Government and PSU buyers often order through GeM or a tender with a stated Make in India requirement.
- Mail rooms and incoming goods at data centres, bank offices and factories in Udyog Vihar, IMT Manesar and the logistics parks along NH-48, to check parcels before they go inside.
- Events and exhibitions, where a scanner is placed at each public entry for the duration of the event (we supply on purchase; we do not rent equipment).
Which tunnel size for a Gurugram site
| Office and IT park lobby | A small tunnel of about 420 × 330 mm or 507 × 305 mm is enough for laptop bags, handbags and small backpacks, and fits a compact reception. |
|---|---|
| Mall entry, hospital, government office | About 600 × 400 mm handles shopping bags, cabin bags and medium parcels without opening them by hand. |
| Hotel porch, logistics desk, large venue | About 655 × 505 mm, or larger, for check-in suitcases and big parcels. |
Measure the largest bag or parcel you must scan and choose the next size up. Do not oversize either: a bigger tunnel costs more, takes more floor space and is heavier to move into the building.
Points we check at a Gurugram site
- Getting the machine in. Many Gurugram lobbies are on upper podium levels or reached through basements. We check the delivery route, door widths, ramp, and the service lift cabin size and load before we confirm the model, so the scanner does not get stuck at the entrance.
- Floor and space. The scanner needs a level, strong floor and space for the entry and exit roller tables, a queue for people and a tray table. In marble or raised-floor lobbies we plan the placement with your facility team.
- Flow with the metal detector. Bags go through the scanner while the person walks through the door frame metal detector beside it, and both meet at the exit table. We lay out the lane so the queue does not block the lobby at peak time.
- Power. A dedicated power point with UPS or stabiliser, and a check of how the site switches to DG power, so screening does not stop during a power cut.
- AERB registration. The scanner must be an AERB-approved type and the installed unit has to be registered by the user organisation before regular use. We supply approved models and help with the documents.
- Operators. Who will watch the screen on each shift, and how many operators need training.
X-ray baggage scanner price in Gurugram (November 2026)
We do not publish one fixed price for X-ray scanners, because the quote changes a lot with the tunnel size, single or dual energy, single or dual view, Indian or imported make, accessories such as roller tables and a UPS, and the warranty and AMC terms. In November 2026 we send an itemised written quotation after a free site survey, with supply, delivery into the building, installation, AERB paperwork support and operator training shown as separate lines so you can compare it fairly. Our X-ray baggage scanner price guide explains what decides the cost, and the X-ray scanner buying guide covers the checks before you order.
What supply, installation and AMC include
- Site survey: largest bag size, hourly footfall, delivery route, floor, space and power.
- Supply of an AERB-approved scanner with the manufacturer warranty, roller tables and accessories as quoted.
- Installation: placement, levelling, power connection, start-up, image and conveyor checks, and a radiation leakage check.
- Operator training: reading images and colours, what to send for a hand search, daily start-up checks and basic care.
- AMC: periodic preventive maintenance, conveyor and roller care, and breakdown visits across Gurugram. See our AMC services.
For the full screening point add handheld metal detectors for follow-up checks. For other security systems in the city see security systems in Gurugram.

Questions from Gurugram buyers
Do you supply X-ray baggage scanners in Gurugram?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain X-ray baggage scanners for offices, IT parks, malls, hotels, hospitals, government offices and mail rooms across Gurugram, including Cyber City, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road, Udyog Vihar and IMT Manesar, from our office in Sector 14.
Which tunnel size do we need for an office lobby?
For laptop bags and handbags a small tunnel of about 420 x 330 mm or 507 x 305 mm is usually enough. Malls and hospitals usually need about 600 x 400 mm, and hotels with suitcases need about 655 x 505 mm or larger. We confirm the size after seeing your largest bags.
Do we need AERB registration for a baggage scanner?
Yes. The scanner must be an AERB-approved type, and the user organisation registers the installed unit with AERB before regular use. We supply approved models and help you with the documents.
Can a scanner be installed in an upper-floor lobby?
Usually yes, if the delivery route and service lift can take it. We check door widths, the lift cabin size and its load capacity during the survey, and if a large model will not fit we suggest a different placement or tunnel size.
What is the price of an X-ray baggage scanner in Gurugram?
It depends on the tunnel size, single or dual energy, single or dual view, make and accessories, so we do not publish one fixed price. We send an itemised written quotation after a free site survey, and our price guide explains what decides the cost.
