What an access control system does
An access control system decides who can open which door, and when. Each controlled door has a reader (card, PIN, fingerprint, face or QR code), an electric lock and an exit button; a controller in the ceiling or a metal box checks every credential against the list of permitted users and keeps a record of who went where. How the parts fit together, standalone vs networked systems and the main reader types are on our access control system page, and our access control buying guide for Gurgaon lists the questions to settle before you order.
Where we install access control in Gurugram
- Corporate offices in Cyber City, Udyog Vihar, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road and the towers along the Dwarka Expressway: server and IT rooms, finance and HR rooms, store rooms and the main door of each office floor. Many of these buildings already have flap barriers in the lobby, and we check whether the floor readers can use the same cards or faces.
- Coworking and managed offices, where members change every month. Cards or phone QR passes can be issued for a fixed period, so access stops on its own when a membership ends.
- Residential societies: tower lobby doors, gym, clubhouse and terrace doors, and lift access so that a resident card only calls the floors that person is allowed to reach.
- Factories and warehouses in Udyog Vihar, Sector 37 and IMT Manesar: stores, tool rooms, quality labs and the production floor, often together with a tripod turnstile at the staff gate and attendance from the same records.
Choosing readers, controllers and locks
- Credential. RFID cards (EM or Mifare) are cheapest and quickest to issue; fingerprint suits small teams; face recognition is touch-free and stops card sharing; QR codes suit visitors through a visitor management system.
- Controller. For one door a standalone reader is often enough. For several doors on one software, a networked controller such as the ZKTeco C3 Plus series (card, PIN and QR) or the InBio Pro Plus series (adds fingerprint and face readers) controls 1, 2 or 4 doors per board, and boards can be added as the office grows.
- Lock. Glass doors usually take an electromagnetic (EM) lock with a bracket; wooden and metal doors can take an EM lock or an electric bolt. Every controlled door also needs an exit button and, on escape routes, a break-glass release.
- Lift access. An elevator controller such as the ZKTeco EC10 or EC16 links a card reader in the lift car to the floor buttons, which is common in Gurugram residential and office towers.
- Fire alarm link. Doors on escape routes must unlock when the fire alarm triggers or power fails. We wire this to the fire panel and test it with your facility team.

Points we check at a Gurugram site
- Building rules. Many towers on Golf Course Road and in Cyber City need a work permit, night or weekend work slots and approval for drilling glass partitions. We plan the work around them.
- Network. Networked controllers need a LAN point and an IP address from your IT team; we agree this before installation.
- Power backup. Controllers and locks should run on a UPS or the building’s backup so doors do not fail open or stay locked during a power cut.
- Existing system. If you already have readers or locks from another vendor, we check what can be reused and take over the AMC after an inspection.

Questions from Gurugram buyers
Do you install access control systems in Gurugram?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain access control for offices, coworking floors, residential societies and factories across Gurugram, including Cyber City, Udyog Vihar, Golf Course Road, Sohna Road, the Dwarka Expressway sectors and IMT Manesar.
What is the cost of access control for one door in Gurugram?
For a single networked door with a card reader, a C3-100 Plus controller with box, one EM lock set and installation come to roughly Rs 18,400 to 20,900 plus GST at our November 2026 prices. A standalone keypad or card reader is cheaper. Cabling is quoted after the survey.
Can the same card work on the lobby flap barrier and the office door?
Often yes, if the card type matches (EM or Mifare) and both systems can share the user list. We check the existing lobby system during the survey before choosing readers for your floor.
Can you restrict lift floors in a society or office tower?
Yes. An elevator access controller such as the ZKTeco EC10 or EC16 connects a reader in the lift car to the floor buttons, so each card can call only the floors allowed for that resident or employee.
Will the doors open during a fire alarm or power cut?
Doors on escape routes are wired to the fire alarm panel so they unlock on an alarm, and we choose fail-safe locks for exit doors. We test this with your facility team at handover.
