Where X-ray baggage scanners are used in Greater Noida
An X-ray baggage scanner shows a trained operator what is inside a bag on a monitor while a conveyor carries it through a shielded tunnel. How it works, single vs dual energy and the standard tunnel sizes are on our main X-ray baggage scanner page. Greater Noida has a mix of sites you do not find together in other NCR cities, and the enquiries we get come mostly from:
- Exhibition, convention and event halls, where thousands of visitors and exhibitors arrive on show days.
- Electronics, mobile phone and component plants in the Ecotech sectors, Udyog Vihar and along the Yamuna Expressway, which screen what leaves the shop floor as much as what comes in.
- Universities, colleges and exam centres in Knowledge Park, where bags are screened at hostel and campus gates and on exam days.
- Malls, offices and hotels around Pari Chowk and in the Alpha, Beta and Gamma sectors.
- Hospitals, government medical institutes and government offices, which usually buy through GeM or a tender with a written specification.
Exhibition and convention halls: visitors and exhibitors on show days
A trade fair is two different flows at once. Visitors carry handbags, laptop bags and the catalogues they collect, and they arrive in a rush when the doors open. Exhibitors and their contractors carry tool bags, display goods and boxes during build-up and dismantling. A hall that runs events through the year should plan for both:
- Visitor lanes sized for opening time. Work out the number of lanes from the visitors expected in the first hour, not the daily total. Each lane is one scanner with roller tables on both sides and a door frame metal detector beside it, with a handheld detector for alarms and a separate frisking area for women.
- A larger tunnel at the exhibitor and goods entry. Display goods and cartons need a bigger tunnel than visitor bags. We plan a separate entry with a larger-tunnel scanner so exhibitor material does not block the visitor lanes.
- Lanes that can be closed. On a quiet day you run one lane; on the opening day all of them. Planning the power points, queue barriers and operator positions for the full count lets you switch lanes on and off without rewiring.
- Badges and entry control. Screening works best together with a badge or QR check, so flap barriers or tripod turnstiles after the scanner keep the count accurate.
Electronics and mobile plants: screening what goes out
In a plant that makes phones, chips, boards or other small, valuable parts, the main risk is items leaving the shop floor in a bag, a tiffin or a pocket. Here the scanner usually stands at the exit, not the entrance:
- Exit screening at shift change. Every bag and lunch box goes through the scanner while the worker walks through a DFMD set for small metal objects. We size the lanes from the number of workers who leave in the same few minutes at the end of a shift.
- Lockers and a clean zone. Many plants keep personal bags in lockers outside the production area and allow only a small transparent pouch inside. That makes screening at the shop floor door quick, with the main scanner at the plant gate.
- Dual energy for small dense items. A dual energy scanner colours materials by type, which helps the operator spot a phone, a board or a battery among other things in a bag. Image recording on the scanner helps when something has to be checked later.
- Visitors and contractors. Laptops and tool bags of visitors and contractors are scanned in and out, with the entry and exit matched in the register.
Points we check at a Greater Noida site
- Power. A dedicated point with proper earthing and an online UPS, and a check that the DG supply reaches the scanner position; many halls and plants switch to DG during the day.
- Floor and access. A level floor that takes the weight of the scanner, and a clear route from the loading point to the entry; large halls and new plants often have the space, but the route has to be checked before delivery.
- Space for the queue. Room for roller tables, the operator, the DFMD and a queue that does not spill into the road or the parking at peak time.
- AERB registration and operators. The scanner must be an AERB-approved type and the user registers the installed unit before regular use. We train the guards who will run it on every shift.
X-ray baggage scanner price in Greater Noida (November 2026)
We do not publish one fixed price, because it depends on the tunnel size, single or dual energy, single or dual view, the make, roller tables, UPS and the warranty and AMC terms. In November 2026 we send an itemised written quotation after a free site survey, with supply, delivery, installation, AERB paperwork support and operator training as separate lines. For a GeM bid or tender we can help you write the specification. Our X-ray baggage scanner price guide explains what decides the cost, and the X-ray scanner buying guide lists the checks to make before you order.
Supply, installation and AMC in Greater Noida
We survey the site, supply the scanner with its manufacturer warranty, install and level it, run the start-up, image and radiation leakage checks, train your operators and maintain it under AMC across Greater Noida, Knowledge Park, Pari Chowk, the Ecotech sectors and the Yamuna Expressway. Questions from Greater Noida buyers
Do you supply X-ray baggage scanners in Greater Noida?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain X-ray baggage scanners for exhibition and convention halls, electronics and mobile plants in the Ecotech sectors, Knowledge Park universities and exam centres, malls and offices around Pari Chowk, hospitals and government offices, from our office in Sector 14, Gurugram.
How many scanners does an exhibition hall need?
Plan the visitor lanes from the number of visitors expected in the first hour after the doors open, with one scanner and DFMD per lane, plus a separate larger-tunnel scanner at the exhibitor and goods entry. We work out the count with you during the survey.
Can an X-ray scanner stop parts leaving an electronics plant?
It helps a lot when it is placed at the exit: every bag and lunch box is scanned at shift change while the worker walks through a DFMD set for small metal items. Lockers outside the production area and a dual energy scanner with image recording make it more effective.
Can you help with a GeM bid for an X-ray scanner?
Yes. Government offices and institutes in Greater Noida usually buy through GeM or a tender. We help write a specification based on what you need to screen, the tunnel size, energy and view type, and the warranty and AMC terms.
What is the price of an X-ray baggage scanner in Greater Noida?
It depends on the tunnel size, energy and view type, make, accessories and AMC terms, so we do not publish one fixed price. We send an itemised written quotation after a free site survey, and our price guide explains what decides the cost.
